"Hilsbacher Eichelberg" is the oldest site in Kraichgau according to documents (1238). The site is characterized by a slope of 50% and its southern exposure embedded in forest, as well as an altitude of up to 320 m. Soil: poor calcareous marl with stubby sandstone and very little iron. The grapes are gently harvested by hand, carefully sorted and slowly pressed after a juice skin contact time of several days and fermented for about 8 months in wooden barrels.
Light golden yellow, very fine nose with bright, fresh fruit, somewhat tropical, but also herbaceous spicy, mineral notes. On the palate the wine shows a nice opulence, decent tannic structure. Freshness and length. The acidity is well integrated. Aromas of pineapple, grapefruit and papaya. Good aging potential.
