Soft and creamy, without corners and edges. Very charming with floral notes, delicate sweetness and a touch of salt on the palate.
The Kreuzberg chapel from the 19th century gives its name to the hill today. The "Tiefenbacher Heinberg" still bears the historical Gewann name, this indicates a Celtic cult site, a "Hein". As a rule, exposed places with a special view were chosen for these sites.
The site is located on a steep hill that turns and slopes towards the west. Towards the east the hill forms a kind of amphitheater. There the forest stretches to the foot of the hill and offers protection from cold north and east winds, our warmest location. The very barren white limestone, with a lot of pebbles, gives a structured Chardonnay with a lot of minerality and herbaceousness.
